So after an unsuccessful redesigns of my Blogger blog to try and make it look more like my main site I finally just gave up on it. If you are reading this then you are looking at an old, non-updated page that I don't visit anymore.

I will eventually work the link out of my main site but I am sure there will always be search engine links to this history. So in an act of good faith I will leave this up here for posterity.

In the mean time, click on the words Vail Life anywhere on this page and check out my new redesigned site. There you can click on Coign's Blog to see my new blog entries where I am not so emo and more upbeat. Or at least I tell myself that.

My sore throat is getting worse. Now I am coughing quite a bit. Hopefully I will start feeling better soon 'cause this sucks.

At work today the AC quit working. That means that my server room is running at a toasty 85 degrees ambient temperature and the rest of the building is warm. I am not even wearing my jean shirt I always wear because I am hot. In addition to that, I think the sore throat is making me a little warmer than I am used to.

Went to trivia night last night. It was just me and Inomiate from my crew that could make it. We met up with PostalGirl and joined her team. We totally won trivia night to. We were rolling into second when the final question came up, "What is the time listed on Independence Tower on the back of the new $100 dollar bill?"

The team all started talking about Nation Treasure (which has a sequel coming out soon) and what time they were talking about. We were all thinking it was 3:15 or so. Then someone said, if only we just had a $100 dollar bill to check.

PostalGirl replied, "We all live in the valley, like we would have a $100 dollar bill on us."

So I reached into my wallet and pulled out my $100 dollar bill.

"Um, I have a $100 dollar bill in my wallet," I said. "I work a cash job on some Saturdays so keep a bit of cash on hand."

So with Inomiate reading the clock on there we won with the correct answer of 4:10.

And to finish out the bar tab and evening we hung out and drank for free for the rest of the night. Oh and I met a really cool chick while hanging out there after the trivia game. We talked about possibly meeting up again some time in the future so that is cool.

In the end, totally worth staying out way to late last night.

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. It is because Mondays hate me. Before I even sit down I see a voice message and three "emergency" e-mails. And I am coming in late because I was working until 2 AM the night before on Sunday.

And thanks? No, it is my fault no one's machine doesn't work. I just better work faster and harder.

That isn't really true. Each individual person is thankful that I was able to fix them. It is just that no one really sees that I, more than most people, get torn in many directions at once because I have multiple places I HAVE to be in. And when someone gets put on hold while I put out a different fire I can sense they are upset I wasn't just sitting there by the phone waiting to assist them.

OK enough about work or I will go home early today.

I drove my car in to work for the first time since losing my underground parking space. I did so because I plan on picking up my ski pass today. Vail Mountain opens up this Friday. And even though the snow sucks right now, I have not missed an opening day yet and will not miss this one.

On Sunday I had my last clove for a while. I will never say I am quitting because I don't know when I will start again. But I stopped for two reasons. One, I have had gotten a sore throat and an annoying cough in the last week. And two, I don't like having to go out into the cold to have a smoke. Because I don't smoke in my house I need to step out on to my porch to smoke and that is just not as fun in the winter time.

Played poker last night with some friends. Broke even in the first tourney round, lost $40 bucks in the cash round. Found out that the beer '2 Below' has a lot more alcohol content then I am used to because it made waking up this morning hurt ... a lot.

Also I have cut over to the new beta site front page. I still have a bit I need to do to get my site where I want it to be but there really was no need to continue delaying the cut.

I still need to update the forum but that will happen after they release a full version of phpBB version 3. And for archiving, I am not sure how I want to do that yet. I am thinking I may need to manually re-enter in all my old posts so that will be a slow ongoing process until I can back track the 100+ posts I have had up until this point.

And with this new CMT I hear it has some modules and plug-ins that I can play with. We will see how that works.

Oh and if you are reading this, go sign up for an account on my main page. If you do, you can now leave comments.

Game night went well. Didn't kill off anyone's characters this week. Inomiate joined us last night but I am not sure how in to the game he was. We will see if he shows up next time in two weeks.

I posted up some pictures for another forum I visit for Image of the Day at http://cellar.org/iotd.php. Kind of interesting some of the stuff you find there.

IdFungus's younger brother and my classmate I graduated with 13 years ago is visiting from California. He is putting out feelers to see if he might move back here. He is the guy I lived with when I first moved here ages ago back when I started this blog.

Someday I need to go back and read those horrible beginnings and delete the crappy ones. Of course that may remove the majority of the beginning years.

Also I need to stop listening to Brass when he says to go out after 11 at night.

My sister just called me. My aunt is on the mend. They told her if she would have delayed her emergency room visit by an hour she most likely would have died.

One of my friends told me I don't blog enough. The problem is, I don't really have a lot to say. My life doesn't change all that much. But I would like to try and dedicate more time to posting here even if I may not have much to say beyond, not much to say today.

But today, the big news. I got the call last night from my sister that my favorite aunt (I have like 13 of them. My parents come from large families.) might be dieing. She went in to the hospital for an in-grown toenail last week on Thursday. They discovered it had given her a staph infection.

They gave her a shunt to plug an IV into and started having her return to the hospital every 6 hours for an IV drip.

She went in early on Saturday because her foot was killing her. After she got really sick waiting for the doctor they rushed her to the emergency room. The staph infection had spread and now they are worried she may be in septic shock. She is in intensive care while they wait to see if she improves or gets rushed to a larger hospital.

She was told on Saturday when they rushed her into the emergency room to call her family so it was not looking good that day. At this point we just wait and see now.
