Well I haven’t heard anything back form the county job I applied for a while back so I am sure I am not going to get the current opening. But maybe when/if they expand their department I might get a call. I also applied for another job at Blizzard. This time they were advertising for a network engineer, which was my job for CP Internet so again I shoot for an extreme long shot in that I might hear back from them.

I was looking through the paper at other jobs I could apply for. It is really disheartening though to apply over and over and some jobs that I think I have the sure shot for at least an interview don't pan out. In some cases I have friends that know the owners, in others the owner knew me and we had a friendly conversation when I dropped off the application. I applied for a LOT of retail sales job because I want to get experience in it in for future job hunting. Unfortunately because I do not have any experience in retail, no one will give me a retail job or even call me back for an interview. I have set up my resume to highlight my customer service skills I used at CP Internet and my current Front Desk position but still nothing.

I just purchased The Temple Of Elemental Evil game off of E-Bay today for 30 dollars. I look forward to playing that game. Also the game I have been waiting for a year to be released, World of Warcraft, goes beta tomorrow. I will be applying for into that and hope that I am accepted.

Other than that I have been pretty good about controlling my spending and actually have a little money in the bank that I can start paying off my credit card and outstanding bank loan. There is about 500 dollars of random stuff I would like to buy of the net, if I can control my impulses in spending I should be able to resist buying more stuff and get bills paid.

What has happened in my life lately? Well I did a rant talking about it a little bit but for just the straight facts without opinions it has been pretty boring. I applied at a video store and at a Sport Store for part time work last week on Friday but never did hear from them.

Then on Monday this week I applied for a county job to do Help Desk support for the county's computer system. Sounds like it would be a little more intensive than Help Desk at my old CP Internet job and certainly pays more. I would be making around 17 dollars an hour starting. But when I talked to the guy on the phone he told me they offered the job to one guy and were waiting to hear from that guy to see if he accepts their offer. He did say that they wanted to expand their department though and may be hiring a second position in a month.

So I think I may have missed this opportunity but hopefully in a month I will hear from them. So far the county job is the only one I have seen in 6 months of living here that would pay enough to get me to stay. But I will stick it out until mid-summer and then look for work in Denver at that time.

Other than working, sleeping, downloading movies, and working on D61 I have not done much for the last 2 weeks. But I keep my eye on the paper and hopefully I will find a second job or a better one in the meantime.

So am I going to be doing anything special for my birthday today? Not really. My friend Justin talked about taking me to Denver this weekend for a shopping trip so that will be kinda cool, and I bought my self a new rule book on D&D Chainmail rules, so that will be cool to read through and play.

Also I WILL put up a new comic today. I have the script in my head but I forgot my props file at home so don't have my most recent character files to make the comic with. But it will go up.

Yeah the cute girl I talked about eariler was a two date deal and then I realized that I do not like girly girls. If you are worried about your outfit more than the activity you are doing than I just find that annoying. So I will be friendly to her but I will not spend any more time do activities with her as I have more fun by myself. And isn't that what every thing boils down to? Do I have more fun by myself or with a paticular person? So look to see a web comic and a rant about her in the future.

Well New Years Eve sucked at the hotel. With a hotel hosted party, people fighting out front, late reports, a heart attack in one of the rooms in the morning, me filling in for some missing restaurant people and playing hostess for 4 hours after my 8 hour shift. Well it all added up to a tiring start to another year. Thank fully it is Friday and I get the next 2 days off.

As for the site updates, I think I had mentioned earlier how I am kind of a scatterbrain when it comes to projects and sticking with them. Especially when it isn't netting me any immediate money. So updates on the site will be planned for three times a week but I will not be saying sorry or making any excuses if I miss one or two now and again.

As for what I will be doing with my time that I would be spending on working on the site. Well I am going through withdrawals because I have not been playing D&D on a regular basis. So since the only two players out here prefer magic and technology, and modern worlds I will be re-newing work on our D61 idea. We love Rifts but hate Kevin Seimbedia's storylines. So we are boiling his idea of a world wracked with portals letting monsters terrorize the magic using natives and adding in a healthy dose of classic D&D. To make my modern world player happy I am setting up the game as a Stargate based plot line where the government has uncovered a portal to this new world. The players are sent to investigate the portal and determine if it can be harnessed or if it must be closed.

DM'ing takes a lot of time and even more so when you are creating a whole new world. I am unsure of some of the specifics that I will be using but I have some ideas that I will be developing. And like I said this will detract from a lot of my website/webcomic time. One of the things I am thinking with the end of this Changes plot line is setting up the comic to detail some of the more humorous moments in the game and have my characters there transform into their role-playing personas. That and possibly moving to an irregular schedule and using the comic to be written whenever something humorous happens in my life. Because trying to be funny and think up plotlines for the serialization that the comic is now is difficult to do. As for the rants, well most of them were just so depressing that they really made me out to be a bitter being and I was having a harder time trying to pull them out of that funk they has descended into.

OK, this is turning into a long blog so I will kill it here. Sorry about the lack of updates but hopefully I will not lose anyone 'cause my updating schedule is sketchy. I know from personal experience when I stop reading most webcomics it is because they do not update regularly. Of course I think that almost all of the people who read this come because they are former co-workers of mine and not strangers and that core comes for the forum more than the site content.
