I was thinking of starting off this update with an apology for not updating the website for a long time. But then I remember that it is my site and I write here to please myself and not anyone else. So on to the updates.

My Porsche is currently parked in the garage of my new house and has been for the last three weeks. At first I thought it stopped running because of a fuel issue. I replaced my fuel filter, which was a challenge to begin with. Unlike my Ford Escort the fuel filter is not in an easy place to reach. It is located somewhere beneath the gas tank. But after I changed that it still didn't start I had to look elsewhere. I tested the pressure from the fuel pump and that tested good.

Then we looked at the air flow and the filter is fine. I also tested out the air flow flap and the sensor seemed to be responding fine as it was opening as I would turn it over.

The symptoms: It will start and idle roughly for about 10 seconds. That means it is getting spark because it will turn over for about 10-12 seconds. But as it is idling roughly I can see the tachometer start to rev up as it is detecting a low flow and as soon as the car tries to feed it gas it dies. The same goes if I touch the accelerator. The car for some reason or another is flooding itself. So on Wednesday I will be bringing it to the mechanic to have him hook it up to a computer and test the sensors. A friend of mine thinks it is either a bad sensor, or maybe a disconnected vacuum hose.

Speaking of car issues I went to rotate my tires today and my first tire I pulled off was worn down to the steel belt. So I had to go get two new tires. I just can't have good luck with cars this month.

Beyond the bad car troubles I have also had to fight for the last two weeks for my last paycheck from the Marriott. Finally 3 weeks after I started fighting for it I got my last 200 dollars. Something about the fact that I changed from hourly to salary while taking PTO screwed up everything.

But I do enjoy my new job. Well so far anyways. It is boring, simple and it boils down to, "Have you rebooted yet? Yes? OK, I will send a tech" The job is less work and thinking than tech support with CP Internet but I am earning a salary equivalent to the time that I was an engineer at CP Internet. So as positions open up and I get promoted, very quickly will I be making more than my time as an engineer.

So it is Friday, I am almost over that cold I caught on Monday and me constantly blowing my nose has pretty much taken me out of commission for any miscellaneous work or updates that I wanted to do on the website.

I have completely moved into my new house with Craig and it is pretty cool. My new room is quite a bit larger and I can actually have all my stuff in it and still have room to walk around in. I have started my new job at Vail Resorts and although the work is easy and seems like it will be monotonous it makes me happy to be back in the tech field. And again the feeling that I am not in a dead end job is a great.

So I went through the house like a whirlwind cleaning today. The house I live at now has a huge Malamute dog that sheds a couple of extra dogs a day so I sucked up the majority of the hair in the house. I will have to see how long that lasts but I may be on cleaning duty every Friday. He sheds so much to the point that I wear shoes in the house to keep from tracking the dog hair into my bedroom.

Other than training for my new job I have not done much this week thus the lack of updates. I did get a couple of guys gathered to commit to a Tuesday night D&D session and the first game night is Aug 17th. So hopefully everything will work out for get a constant campaign together and I will start getting creative on the story detail again. We will be playing in a new world, Eberron, and I will be writing up summaries of what the world is like and some brief histories of what the characters know. I will post those to the D61 section and will let you know when that gets updated.

Now I just have to motivate to get a new comic and rant up this weekend. We will see how that goes.
