It is time for my bimonthly update. Or does bimonthly mean every two months? Hold on.

Main Entry: semimonthly
Function: adjective
: occurring twice a month

OK, time for my semimonthly updates. (Dictionaries are fun.)

Not a whole lot to update since I last posted. I got my tattoo worked on yesterday and have one more session planned on Monday next week. My arm feels like it was sun-burned real bad right now. The worst is putting Tattoo Goo on it. Then you actually have to touch it to apply the gel to assist in healing.

Other then the tattoo I have been surfing through life. Doing projects at work like updating servers, adding DMZ firewalls and servers, taking over more Mac support and setup since our Mac guy has left. No of my work is huge and exciting but enough to keep me busy about 50 hours a week.

Personal life has been about the same. I keep to my routine and do not switch it up much. I still owe money on my credit cards and I am planning a trip back to Minnesota soon. That means I limit my going out to try and conserve my cash. My girlfriend and I are still going out. We have not been seeing as much of each other lately due to differing schedules. With her second job (or third if you count the one she works at once a month) she eats up most weekends. I have put a couple of days into my friends gift shop and have been working some late hours at RTP so I eat up a lot of my free time with work to.

It will be nice to get on this week long vacation and just unwind.

I went to a POD and Hoobastank concert in Vail about three weeks ago. I walked out of the pit with my nose slightly bleeding. My friend in the pit walked out with his slightly broken and gushing blood. It was pretty funny.

Crap, DNS just broke. I will update again in 2 weeks or so.

If you could write a note to yourself, which would be delivered, 20 years back in time, what would it say?

Lets say the note can not exceed the front and back of a 3X5 index card.

10 years old? Hmm, to young to buy stock and I have never had enough money to purchase any stock anyways. Maybe give myself some sports scores so I run some numbers in Vegas and then have enough money to buy stock in eBay, Amazon, and Google. MS has always been a blue chip so you would need to invest in them at age 10 and like I said, to young to buy stock at that age.

So now I am richer. Beyond that I really like my life and I would not change anything since age 10. Even my "druggie" days are good memories and taught me self-reliance, street-smarts, and how to pick myself up after I have fallen. I use those skills in everyday life and I would be more socially inept without them.

Now change this around and say you could live your life over (changing your complete situation and those around you) what career would you want?

I say change your environment because even though we tell people "you can be anything you want" we really don't mean it. You need to have the chance or background to accomplish some things. For example I would love to be a rally car racer. But I do not come from a gear head family or background and that is the path you start on.

I would also like to be a scientist developing Artificial Intelligence but never came from a background that pushed me academically enough.

And my final career change would be a writer. But I would have needed to nurture my artistic and writing ability more.

Yay! Drunken blogging, the best kind there is.

I have become a little sketchy on my life updates but you know how it goes. There always seems to be something that I have to do that is always more important. I am not REALLY drunk because I am at work, yeah I am at work at midnight, so I can't do stuff like that. Hee hee.

Anyways, I just got done re-wiring a 96 port switch to a new 3Com and am just waiting for some security updates I am working on now. Next I have to run upstairs and switch our hubs over to some CAT6. But enough about the boring stuff. On to my boring life.

My roommate is moving out. Not that I am to bummed about that because he is a walking disaster at times. It is just his stuff spills out all over my house. But I charge him $600 a month so I guess I am getting paid to put up with his crap sitting on my couch. What bums me out is the loss of his $600 a month. I wonder what my new roommate will be like when I get one. Depressing when I think about it because I have had worse roommates and now that is what I dread.

Hold on, taking a look at my blog to see where I have last left on my life going ons.

The getting the band back together comment was to say that I am DM'ing D&D again. It is a ton of fun and the new guys are all good people. One of them set up a forum and I will ask him to create a public section of it so I can link to my D&D site again. That and DDO pretty much takes up all my time.

I got my tax return back today. Whoever says that your tax return is huge after buying a house wasn't talking about only have owned it for 2 months. Next years return should be much better but I am only getting about 1200 back this year so nothing that is going to make me a rich man. Hopefully it will be enough so that I do not have to tighten the belt anymore than I am.

I have not gone out much in the last month because I am really trying to get all my debt paid off by the end of this summer. The problem is that I get lazy. I could get rid of my $50 a month phone bill by getting work to reimburse me once I activate my network monitor to page me but I have not set that up yet. Hopefully that will be my project over the next week or so. I have the software in place I just have to configure and test it. Of course that is the most difficult part.

On this update please excuse any grammar mistakes. I plan on running it through a spell checker but I don't have the time to re-read it and see if I am missing any words or using run-on sentences.

Anyways this is enough rambling; I better go put those new hubs in place so I can go home.
