So as a number of you know, I bought a new motorcycle last weekend. It is an old 1994 CBR 600 F2. A beater bike that I can lay down (and on one occasion already have) and not worry about scratching the bike. The last time I rode dirt bike was about 11-12 years ago in 11th grade. Umm actually I am older than I remember. That would be 13-14 years ago.

Anyway, I digress.

I am sending out this note to first brag about my new toy. Second I wanted to point out how all my friends and my comic Vail Life suck the joy out of my life. I am looking at motorcycle gear to buy and all that keeps going through my head is this rant.

Wow, like an old Cosby or Carlin record, that just never gets old!

And as a good friend of Thom's and in celebration of his new motorcycle, we are designing a Thom Haupt memorial tattoo for all his friends to get when the inevitable occurs. We will donate all the proceeds from this tattoo to a charity of Thom's choice.

I heard the first sign of middle age is buying a motorcycle. I figure
in less than a year you'll have a personal watercraft and other
artifacts of a mid life crisis. Good luck in your quest to conquer
the aging process.

Yeah, my friends hate me.

I spent about 3 hours today looking at my site and how I need to revamp it. I fixed my archives for the time being so the last missing four months are linked correctly but the whole site needs an overhaul. I want to get my Write-Up linked to the comic and that means changing my graphics along with the archival code, and then possibly needing to change every write-up to get them all linked properly.

And although every comic has a write-up not every write-up has a comic so I need to take that into consideration.

And then I want it all to be automated so I have to edit as little HTML code as possible when posting.

Yeah, this is going to be a pain in the ass.

I want to type something here but I really don't know what I want to talk about today. I am busy at work but I keep avoiding doing different projects because I know they are going to be difficult to complete. So instead I bounce every 10 minutes from one project to another. The only good point of that is I can see myself making progress on all of them, although slowly.

Right now I am on a 10 minute rotation doing, firewall, spam filter, WhatsUp, surf the net, and back to firewall.

Hmm personal life? I went to a birthday party last week on Friday. It was alright but the only reason it was the high point of my week was because it was not part of my usual schedule.

My girlfriend came back from her vacation with her brother on Wednesday. She was gone for a week so thats pretty cool she is back. She asked me to go on a trip with her in October to Mexico but I don't know if I want to do that just yet. We will see.

A friend of mine started a blog and one of his questions was, "What do you put in a blog?"

I told him you put whatever you want in a blog. You pick a theme and you run with it. I have a political blog (I don't post there anymore and haven't posted there for years), a comic blog, and this one which is my "what is on my mind that will not piss to many people off" blog.

Oo look my first YouTube video I ever uploaded. I will add it as the link of the day on Friday.

I have been told I need to update my blog.

OK fine then.

I am dating a new girl and have been for about two months or so.

I got a fairly nice raise on Friday. I am getting close to being able to afford my place without a roommate. Actually as I type this I should arrange to re-finance my house. If I refinance it for less then 80% of its value, currently my loan is for 70% of the current value of my house, then I can get out of my PMI payments. At that point not only do I save a lot of money a month, I then hit the extra $500 dollars a month of income that I need from my current roommate.

Not that I am going to kick him out. He is quiet, never leaves his room, and always pays me on time. And I am greedy.

Although in 3 years when I pay off my car loan I will most likely kick him out then and turn his room into a office and move my PC out of my room. I might even get a real bed at that time since I will have so much more room in bedroom when I take my desk out.

Lets see what else have I done?

I saw Simpsons. Don't see it in theater. It is not worth 9 bucks.

I saw Bourne Ultimatum. See that one. It was really cool.

Still gaming and in fact I added a second campaign so on the nights we are not playing our main 6th level campaign we play a 12th level campaign.

I finally reached level 40 with one of my characters in WoW. I am going to next start on my level 8 noob mage and get her up to level 30 next. Then I will have all 10 characters at level 30+.

There is a new expansion coming out for WoW. A new hero class and a new profession called Inscriber. I am sure they will be scroll makers. Not that special as it sounds like a new form the alchemist and their potion buffs. I don't know if I will get this expansion as it seems geared to only high level players at the level 70 cap. They are raising the max level to 80. Since I am only reaching 40 I don't know if there is any good stuff for low level players in this expansion.

Between the D&D, girlfriend, and trying to squeeze WoW in any free moments, not to mention I still half a season of SG-1 and two seasons of Farscape left to watch (about 60 hours of DVD in all) I just don't have much time left over. I don't know what I will do when September rolls around and I have Monday night Heroes and Thursday night Smallvile again.

Well i better get back to work. Take care all and I will try and update a little more then once a month.
